Good reasons to be a Land Conservancy Member:

I’m sure that like me, you support national nonprofits that protect threatened lands and habitat in other parts of the U.S. — and worldwide.

Have you considered supporting conservation efforts where we live? How necessary is it, you might ask, to preserve land and habitat right here in Hamilton County?

    What will our legacy be?

Just look around. The answer is being written on our landscapes.

Will our forested hillsides, ridges and greenways, neighborhood greenspaces and agricultural lands survive ongoing development pressures?

I believe that, without active efforts to protect Hamilton County’s great natural assets, these threatened lands will be lost—if not to us, most certainly to our children, and theirs.

    Needing your help

What can you do right now to help preserve land in your neighborhood and across Hamilton County?

Become a Land Conservancy member.  Volunteer your time and talents. Please make a financial contribution to support our work.

We are all volunteers, so your contribution goes directly to support our land protection program.

    How we work

bullet The Land Conservancy’s primary mission is to help families legally protect their land for its scenic, open space, historic or agricultural values.
bullet An informed public is crucial to building support for land conservation.  We take our message directly to your neighbors and community groups to present the economic, social, and environmental benefits that land conservation provides.
bullet The Land Conservancy raises funds to purchase land and steward lands under our protection.

Endless benefits

Land conservation benefits Hamilton County’s  “quality of place.”  It protects our property values, our heritage, our health and well being, and brings many economic returns.

Please join us. It may be the best investment in your future you will ever make.
